How To Check And Verify The Regulatory Status On The US SEC

2022-11-11 | Financial regulatory licenses ,License

Investor confidence can be affected by several factors, including market dynamics, stagflation, wars, politics and fraud. Unfortunately, fraud exists in any commercial sphere, and the investment market is no exception. Especially during the time of pandemic, fraudsters use times of uncertainty and change to lure victims into investment scams.

Therefore, it is necessary to promote investor awareness on preventing frauds. For instance, to check whether the company is licensed by a proper regulatory body. It is the first thing to do when investors engage a new company, as licenses hold companies accountable for their activities and protect the public’s safety.

As a global financial services group adhering to the core values of professionalism, integrity and accountability, Doo Prime’s holding company, Doo Group, always ensures the rights of its clients are well protected. Since its founding in 2014, Doo Group has been acquiring financial services licenses globally. All these licenses are issued by the world’s top performing regulatory bodies. In this article, Doo Group would like to share about the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (US SEC), the first federal regulator of the securities markets, and how to verify the regulatory status of Doo Group’s subsidiary on the US SEC Services Register.

About The US SEC

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (US SEC) was founded in 1934 by the passage of the U.S. Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities and Exchange Act of 1934, in response to the stock market crash which led to the Great Depression in 1929, learn more: https://www.sec.gov/about/what-we-do. With more than 80 years of history, the main function of the US SEC is to protect investors by ensuring a fair, transparent and efficient financial market. It strives to make a positive impact on the economy and people’s lives in the United States.

The strict requirements and supervision of the US SEC has also demonstrated Doo Group’s strength in obtaining the license issued by the world’s top regulator.

In order to let its clients get an idea on how to check the legitimacy of a broker-dealer, Doo Group has prepared guidelines on the license verification procedures.
